St. Jude Episcopal Church, Marietta, GA

Allen Organ Studios was chosen to install a new GX340, 3-manual organ that replaced a small, 6 rank, 1974 Zimmer pipe organ that suffered a catastrophic lightning strike. This new Allen organ not only provides an additional manual/division for organist usage, but also provides numerous new stops that were not available on the Zimmer organ. The Great and Choir divisions are located in the old pipe chamber on the left side of the altar, while the Swell division is located in a brand new chamber on the altar’s right side. Part of the previous 8′ Bourdon pipe rank was used to form the façade for this new chamber.
